<p>On&nbsp;the rugged coast of&nbsp;the unique Isle of&nbsp;Skye lies south of&nbsp;Dunvagan, directly on&nbsp;the shore of&nbsp;a&nbsp;bay as&nbsp;if&nbsp;conjured up, the snow-white small distillery Talisker.<br>Two brothers founded the distillery in&nbsp;1831, and after their deaths numerous others took over the attempt to&nbsp;continue the distillery. All failed until a&nbsp;financial manager and a&nbsp;wine and spirits merchant succeeded in&nbsp;taking over.<br>Talisker was triple distilled until 1928, then only double.<br>After a&nbsp;fire in&nbsp;1960, the distillery was rebuilt true to&nbsp;the original.<br>Today, Talisker belongs to&nbsp;the Diageo spirits group.</p><p>This Talisker was matured in&nbsp;heavily burnt oak casks on&nbsp;the remote Isle of&nbsp;Skye.<br>It&nbsp;is&nbsp;the smokiest Talisker produced by&nbsp;the distillery so&nbsp;far.<br>It&nbsp;is&nbsp;the successor of&nbsp;the Talisker Storm and is&nbsp;delivered without ageing.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Amber with red accents.<br><strong>Nose: </strong>Salty, smoky, spices, oak, apples.<br><strong>Taste:</strong> Intense, smoky, peppery, complex, sweet, rounded, savoury, fruit, blackcurrant, liquorice, spices.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting, warm, powerful, smoky.</p>
