Description
Flora and Fauna, a moniker of the late whisky writer Michael Jackson, was a themed series of single malt whisky bottlings released by distilleries only.
Each distillery was given a particular creature as a symbol, elegantly depicted on the beautiful label of each bottle.
Over time, as distilleries commercialized, closed or sold, the Flora and Fauna range dwindled, leaving these select remaining bottles as collector's items.
A whole garden of fruit and floral scents in a smooth, long, complex yet fully integrated Speyside of absolute class.
This 12 year old single malt whisky has a rich and oily mouthfeel with nutty, cereal notes and an aromatic and dry finish.
Colour: Light gold.
Nose: Fresh soft fruit, hints of vanilla, notes of cigars, lavender, smoke, cedar.
Taste: Full-bodied, smooth, sweet, fresh, light acidity, juicy green flavors, notes of dried orange peel.
Finish: Long lasting, cedar.
Linkwood is best served in a traditional whisky glass, neat or with a little water.
