<h3><strong>DARK CHOCOLATE</strong></h3><p>Single blended, 5 year old rum infused with organic cacao has the essence of coffee and butterscotch on the nose, the echo of dark chocolate is restrained but solidly present in the bouquet. Decadent dark chocolate flavor comes to the forefront on the first sip, layered with a back note of Bing cherry and cream soda.</p><p>The deadhead bottlings are produced in&nbsp;Veracruz, a&nbsp;city rich in&nbsp;tradition in&nbsp;Mexico.<br>The premium rums present themselves as&nbsp;shrunken heads, which were taken home by&nbsp;the Mexican natives as&nbsp;a&nbsp;victory trophy after a&nbsp;fight.<br>The appearance of&nbsp;the bottles also reflects the so-called «Día&nbsp;de&nbsp;Los Muertos», the day of&nbsp;the undead.<br>A&nbsp;traditional holiday in&nbsp;Mexico.</p><p>The Deadhead Rum in&nbsp;monkey shrunken head design is&nbsp;made from both sugar cane juice and molasses.<br>The sugar cane juice is&nbsp;fermented and distilled in&nbsp;copper kettles. The maturation takes place in&nbsp;American oak barrels.<br>The molasses is&nbsp;distilled in&nbsp;column stills and matures in&nbsp;American oak barrels and Chiapas oak barrels.<br>Once the maturing process is&nbsp;complete, the finest chocolate is&nbsp;added.<br>The rum matures for another 60 days.<br>This special recipe was inspired by&nbsp;ancient Mayan and Aztec recipes.<br>This monkey shrunken head is&nbsp;a&nbsp;tribute to&nbsp;the spiritual faith of&nbsp;both tribes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
