<p>South of Florence is the Tenuta Tignanello. The Antinori family has achieved much with its vineyards, winery and production. Tradition and modernity play perfectly together.<br><br>The aging of the fully ripe Sangiovese, Merlot as well as Syrah grapes takes place nine months mainly in Slavonian oak barrels and 10% in oak barriques. In the bottle, this excellent red wine matures for a few more months, giving it its special aroma.</p><h3>Tasting notes:</h3><p>Ruby red with violet reflections in the glass. The nose is fruity of ripe cherries, strawberries as well as blueberries, accompanied by subtle spicy notes. Pleasantly fruity on the palate with soft tannins. Pleasantly fresh on the finish.<br><br>Grape varieties: Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah.<br>Soil: Stone.<br>Aging: Slavonian oak barrels, 10% barriques.<br>Closure: Natural cork.<br>Aging potential: Until 2028.<br><br>Excellent with hard cheeses, pasta and braised lamb.<br>&nbsp;</p>
