Description
<p>The Ron Abuelo Añejo XII Años TWO OAKS Double Matured is a 12 year old rum with double barrel maturation.<br>After many years of ageing in specially selected ex-bourbon barrels, the rum is aged on specially toasted American oak.<br>The special feature of the second barrel is that it is first toasted for 60 minutes at 180°C to open the wooden structure.<br>It is then fired at 220°C, creating a 7 to 8 mm thick porous carbon layer. — This gives the TWO OAKS its softness and mild smoky taste.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Deep dark amber.<br><strong>Nose: </strong>Slightly smoky, intense oak, notes of vanilla, coffee, hints of toasted almonds.<br><strong>Taste:</strong> Intense, complex, smoky sweetness, spices, caramel, roasted coffee beans.<br><strong>Finish:</strong> Long lasting, hints of cola and nuts.</p>
