<p>Sweden originally had no&nbsp;tradition in&nbsp;whisky production&nbsp;— but this changed in&nbsp;1999 with the founding of&nbsp;the Mackmyra distillery.<br>Special emphasis is&nbsp;placed on&nbsp;the exclusive use of&nbsp;Swedish products.<br>Due to&nbsp;the perfect geographical location, the distillery has constant access to&nbsp;crystal clear, purest water.<br>The barley used gets a&nbsp;special sweetness due to&nbsp;the long summer days and is&nbsp;one of&nbsp;the cornerstones of&nbsp;Mackmyra whiskies.</p><p>In&nbsp;this second edition of&nbsp;the Svensk Rök&nbsp;('Swedish smoke') the maturing process takes place in&nbsp;exclusive new American oak barrels. This ageing gives the whisky notes of&nbsp;vanilla and herbs.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>straw yellow.<br><strong>Nose:</strong> spicy, smoke, oak, fruit, herbs, notes of&nbsp;peat, juniper, toasted oak, vanilla, salt, tobacco leaves, ginger.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Peat, juniper, salt, smoke, spicy oak, vanilla, figs, oak, notes of&nbsp;tobacco leaves.<br><strong>Finish:</strong> Long lasting, peat smoke.</p>
