<p>The Karukera Rhum Vieux Agricole VO owes its name to the inhabitants who at that time gave the island the name «Karukera», which means «the island of beautiful waters».<br>This is where Christopher Columbus first moored his fleet in November 1493. This rum is produced in the oldest distillery on the island — the Hope Distillery.</p><p>The Karukera Rhum Vieux Agricole VO matured for five years in small ex-Bourbon barrels.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Amber.<br><strong>Nose: </strong>notes of spices, hints of exotic fruits.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Spicy, fruity, baked banana, sugar cane, notes of cloves and pepper.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting, sweet.</p>
