<p>The Karukera Cuvée&nbsp;Christophe Colomb 1493 Tres Vieux Rhum Hors d’Age owes its name to&nbsp;the inhabitants who at&nbsp;that time named the island «Karukera», which means «The island of&nbsp;beautiful waters».<br>This is&nbsp;where Christopher Columbus first moored his fleet in&nbsp;November 1493.<br>This rum is&nbsp;produced in&nbsp;the oldest distillery on&nbsp;the island, the Hope Distillery.</p><p>The Karukera Cuvée&nbsp;Christophe Colomb 1493 Tres Vieux Rhum Hors d’Age is&nbsp;only available in&nbsp;limited quantities and was bottled in&nbsp;honour of&nbsp;the discoverer of&nbsp;the island&nbsp;— Christopher Columbus.</p><p><strong>Colour:</strong> Amber with red accents.<br><strong>Nose: </strong>Flowery, notes of&nbsp;nut.<br><strong>Taste:</strong> Spicy, cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, candied nuts.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting, sweet, mild.</p>
