In January 2013, the first Spirit flowed through the stills at Wolfburn — the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland.

At Wolfburn, the limited KYVLER series stands for the strange, special casks that deliver an unmistakably good whisky.
Perhaps it is a cask that by nature is destined to mature the whisky in its own special kind of cask.
Or it could be a cask that has been selected at Wolfburn Distillery to experiment a little and see how the single malt matures in it. To ensure that these whiskies now have their own stage and can be shared and enjoyed with dignity, Wolfburn has created its own line of whiskies — the KYVLER SERIES.
Named after a tombstone bearing one of the earliest signs of runic alphabet and reflecting the history of caithness that surrounds Wolfburn.
The Kylver Series will grow as Wolfburn grows and reflect the journey of these excellent single malts through the years to come.

The Kyvler Series were created on the occasion of the Caithness Viking Festival and with the sale of these single malts the Caithness Viking Festival is also financially supported.

Colour: gold.
Nose: Soft, fresh, vanilla, angelica, hints of oak.
Taste: Brown sugar, bananas, hints of smoke and walnut wood.
Finish: Long lasting, spicy, cinnamon, nutmeg.
