<p>"Royal Danish Navy Frogman - Conventus Ranae" is hand-blended by the master distiller and aged in beautiful barrels - each with a unique history.</p><p><strong>"A remarkable blend for remarkable people"</strong></p><p>What better way to commemorate the Danish Frogman Corps than with a unique blend whose nearly 200-year-long history has had a long and established connection with the Royal Danish Navy.</p><p>"Royal Danish Navy Frogman - Conventus Ranae" is hand-blended by the master distiller and aged in beautiful barrels - each with a unique history.</p><p>All "Royal Danish Navy" spirits are produced in honor of Albert Heinrich Rise and his production back in St. Thomas apothecary hall in the Danish West Indies.</p><p>They are molasses-based and are produced by slow fermentation before being kettle-distilled in a traditional "pot still».</p><p><strong>THE HISTORY OF AH. RIISE</strong></p><p>In 1838 the Danish Government appointed Albert Heinrich Rise as the exclusive pharmacist for St. Thomas, and granted him monopoly status to produce alcohol in his pharmacy.</p><p>Initially, Albert developed rum and bitters as medicine for stomach ills. However, his rum soon gained in popularity beyond its medical function, and in 1893 The A.H. Rise Company received its first International Gold Medal at the World Exhibition in Chicago.</p><p><strong>Tasting notes</strong></p><p><strong>Nose</strong>:<br>Despite the high alcohol volume, it is a rather light nose, dominated by balsamic glaze and mocca with orange zest on top and a hint of toast.</p><p><strong>Taste</strong>:<br>The alcohol is more present on the palate but in a nice and integrated way, where the notes from the nose all re-appear as well as pineapple and coconut.</p><p><strong>Finish</strong>:<br>Very creamy with notes of dark chocolate and mocca.</p><p><strong>Color</strong>:<br>Golden red.</p><p><strong>Limited to&nbsp;2,000 bottles!</strong></p>
