<p>Basically, one distinguishes between Izarra Vert, Izarra Jaune and Izarra 54. </p><p>Izarra was first produced in 1835 by Joseph Grattau. Grattau is also the founder of the distillery. </p><p>The liqueurs are stored in oak barrels and filtered again shortly before bottling. The Izarra is also known under the name "the devil in a bottle" or as "green wave". </p><p>Izarra Jaune consists of 13 different plants and spices. Comparable to the Izarra Vert, the Izarra Jaune is lighter in taste.</p><p><strong>Tasting notes:</strong></p><ul><li>Colour: Bright yellow. </li><li>Nose: fruity, intense. </li><li>Taste: Sweet, spicy, vegetable, citrus, cinnamon, coriander. </li><li>Finish: Long lasting.</li></ul>
