Description
The home of Captain Hugh Munro and his family was Teaninich Castle; in 1817 they established the first legal distillery in Ross-shire.
The original building along with part of Munro Castle has sadly disappeared, however the family’s whisky heritage remains.
The Teaninich Distillery is celebrating 200 years and is releasing this limited release bottling in honour.
For 17 years, this single malt matures in refilled hogsheads made of American white oak.

Colour: Dark gold.
Nose: Fruity, spicy, citrus, apricots, cherries, notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, hints of vanilla, caramel, shortbread.
Taste: Rounded, oily-sweet, citrus, notes of spice, oak, tannins.
Finish: Long lasting, spicy, candied fruit, oak.
