The distillery's origins can be traced back to a bar in Belize City known as the Travellers. The bar's founder, Don Omario, began producing his own rum blends, which he sold in his bar.<br><br>Due to the great success of these blends, Don Omario eventually founded Travellers Liquors Ltd. The distillery places great emphasis on using locally grown, fairly produced sugarcane. The molasses extracted from this sugarcane is crucial for the authentic flavor of the rum, which is characteristic of this region. The rums in the signature blend are aged for up to seven years and are bottled without the addition of sugar or coloring.<br><br>The Belizean Blue Rare Blend is a combination of different rums that have aged for an average of nine years in Belize. The blend also includes components that have been aged for up to 17 years under tropical conditions.</p>
