<p>In 1906 the brand «Black Death» (originally «svarti dauði» — Icelandic for «Black Death») was founded in Iceland by the Sigurdsson family.<br>The brand became famous when Black Death Vodka surprisingly won the gold medal at the «International Wine and Spirit Competition» in 1987.</p><p>In 1992, the trademark was initially banned in the USA for misleading advertising but was legalized again in the same year after a lawsuit by the manufacturers.<br>Also the current logo with the skull and the black cylinder was created in 1992.<br>Black Death has already sold over 120 million units in 70 countries around the world.</p><p><strong>Colour: </strong>Clear.<br><strong>Nose:</strong> Fresh, juniper, herbs.<br><strong>Taste: </strong>Coriander, juniper, ginger.<br><strong>Finish: </strong>Long lasting.</p><p>Black Death Gin was made from 100% grain.</p>
